"...At Canchones, we have been using HERD-LOGIC, (previously LamaLogic) since the establishment of our alpacas business. As business strategy consultants in our previous lives, we are aware of the importance of keeping accurate records and having them in a format that is easily searchable and accessible. We have found that HERD-LOGIC does everything we need. HERD-LOGIC has proved to be an excellent marketing tool. If clients are interested in particular animals we are easily able to generate specific animal reports that can include; photographs, pedigree details, health and weight records, pregnancy status as well as fleece and show records. These can be printed or exported in PDF format, perfect for emailing. When working with the alpacas, we are able to print out worksheets for whatever we are planning to do. They show the last date of the treatment for any chosen treatment or weight, making it easy to make decisions while we are working. When entering the data back into HERD-LOGIC, we are able to [enter] any single treatment for a group of alpacas at a time, saving time and keystrokes. This functionality also works for entering pregnancy status after ultrasounds or spit offs. With the additional species module we are also able to use HERD-LOGIC to manage our cattle stud as well. During the time we have been using HERD-LOGIC, our herd has grown from 4 alpacas to over 250. HERD-LOGIC has been critical to our continued success of our business due to the impact on the management of our breeding program and the sales support it offers. We

a copy of the software for them as part of the total package that we provide.

"...We have been using HERD-LOGIC for several months now, having upgraded from LamaLogic. We like the reports, the formatting, and the ease with which each of our various managers can use them. Once you enter the initial data, it appears in numerous reports without having to reenter it. The reports are very helpful, and we keep all data on our alpacas in concise order. Each animal can have its own collection of photos, as well. In addition, we experienced terrific customer service, whenever we have encountered a slight problem here or there. "..LamaLogic is the single greatest piece of software for herd management I have ever used. In fact, its probably the best software on my computer, because of the functionality, ease of use, its powerful, helpful and insightful interface and the most important aspect of owning this software is the dedication of Simon and Anja. There are many herd management packages out there, and I have just about tried them all, but LamaLogic rises to the top due to the support that Simon and Anja provide during times when you have difficulties with the system. Problems are going to arise with any system that you input data into, its just the nature of the beast, but if you have someone like LamaLogic to support you and help you determine what is wrong and then make every effort to see that it is fixed, then this is THE herd management software you should buy. Of course, the low price of $195 should make you make the leap without any of the other information. But this is the best use of your money, the easiest to use and the interfaces and functionality make it the most bang for your buck. Its one thing to be inexpensive, but it's a completely different thing to be inexpensive and the best. Don't hesitate to buy this software, I have been using it for years and as I look back in my life of raising llamas, this is one of the best decisions I ever made. I just wish Simon and Anja lived a little closer, so we could toast the success of LamaLogic over a glass of wine."

We chose it for it's ease of use and the scope of information able to recorded and analysed in the management of our herd. It has proved to be an integral part in the success of our alpaca business as both a management and marketing tool.
