Herd and Livestock Management Software

HerdLogic™, is a major upgrade to HerdLogic™.

Simon Van Der Heijden, Ph.D. started LamaLogic™ in 1995. As a Llama owner and breeder, he realized the need for easy-to-use software for Herd and Livestock Management. The software should be affordable for the average breeder. Simon has over 30 year of experience in information technology and software development.

Simon and his wife Anja, owners of Hidden Meadow Ranch and SICON Consulting International, Inc., purchased their first Llamas in 1994. Simon studied Chemistry and Physics. During his studies, and through his entire career, he has been actively involved with Information Technology.

Simon started to work on the relational database, LamaLogic™, in 1995; LamaLogic™ was introduced commercially in 1996.

In September 2006 HerdLogic™ was taken over from Simon and Anja by TechWest Solutions Inc. to give them a well deserved break. Brent, Grace, and Mary at TechWest have experience in development and marketing software packages available at www.techwest.com.

HerdLogic™ was released in November 2004.

HerdLogic™ is designed for large and small operations.

HerdLogic™ operates on the following platforms:

Windows® 2000 Windows® NT 4 service pack 3 or later.

Windows® 98
Macintosh® Computers running "Virtual PC"
A network version is available for breeders with large herds, who want simultaneous access to the database from different PCs.

NOTE: The same software can be installed on Windows® 98, NT4, ME, 2000, XP and Virtual PC running on a MAC®. The professional installation program recognizes the Windows® version installed on your computer and will automatically install the proper files.

HerdLogic™ owes much of its current functionality to the feedback from its users. Anja and I take pride in the fact that we listen to our users.

Every request for added features and enhancements is taken seriously and, more often than not, the requested feature or enhancement has become part of HerdLogic™.

Language Support

HerdLogic™ currently offers an English and Australian English version.
In HerdLogic™ you can switch between Imperial (English) and Metric measurements on the fly. HerdLogic™ will display all date formats as defined in the Windows® setting on your PC. Currency setting will be displayed correctly, e.g. £, €, $, etc. depending on your Windows® configuration.
