Herd
Management II Herd Management I - Managing your Herd Dealing with routine and repetitive tasks HerdLogic™ allows you to view and print tasks that you have scheduled to perform.
Whenever you specify a "next date" for any of the following
entries, the task will be automatically added to the "Tasks To
Do" list in the HIM:
A task will
remain on the "To Do" list, until the same "Medical
- Health" procedure is performed on any date past the last date
this procedure was performed. This means that if you decide to perform
a planned procedure ahead of schedule, the task will automatically be
removed from the "To Do" list. If you specified a next date
when you performed the procedure ahead of schedule, the new task will
be added to the "To Do" list for the proper calendar date. When you sell an animal, you have the option to remove outstanding tasks. This feature is very useful when you sell an animal, but the new owner will not transfer the animal to his or her own place for a while. This allows you to carry on with the routine care and maintenance of the animal. When you select the daily view for Thursday, August 30, 2001, you will see an entry for de-worming a group of 10 animals with "Ivermectin". Clicking the group entry will list the names and sex of all animals in the group. Listing animals in a group is only available from the daily and weekly views in the Herd Information Manager. Expected due dates for pregnant females are listed in all views. The entry in each view lists the name of the female, the date of the last service and the name of the service sire. Note: HerdLogic™ will use the short date format specified on your PC. "2001/08/30", "8/30/2001", "2001.08.30", "30-08-2001", "01/30/8", etc. are some examples. The selected Windows® setting will be used in all reports.
Reporting from the Herd Information Manager The Herd Information Manager (HIM) allows you to produce two types of reports. The first report is a "To Do" task list; the second report is a list of Expected Due Dates for pregnant females. Due date report for pregnant females HerdLogic™ provides you with several options to print a due date report for
pregnant females. One of the options is to directly print a report from
the Herd Information Manager (HIM). You can print the due dates for females
for any selected time frame. You can optionally include any females that
are overdue. To Do list of tasks for a specified period HerdLogic™ provides you with several option to print a To Do list, which is a list of outstanding items. This list can only be printed from the Herd Information Manager (HIM). Depending on the "View", either daily, weekly, or monthly, HerdLogic™ provides you with the following "quick" selections:
In addition
to the "quick" selections, HerdLogic™, provides
the following "standard" date ranges: You can print
the due dates for any selected time frame. You can optionally include
any females that are overdue. |
